Buying RM Special Delivey online, where to drop off item?

Hi, no doubt a stupid question but anyway!

I'm sending a valuable item via Royal Mail special delivery with tracking, I did this online and printed the label - it says that if I drop the parcel off at a Post Office outlet there's a £3 charge on top.... does that mean any post office or just the little sub postoffices in corner shopes etc? It's not clear on their site whether you should take to a RM Depot or main post office to not have to pay the £3 on top of actual postal costs. Thanks!

I have never seen a surcharge for dropping this off at a PO before- do you have a link or can you go back and check?

Usually you print it off either via the RM site or paypal, take the whole lot to the Post office , queue up as normal and get it put through the system and get your receipt stamped as proof of postage.

I saw it when going through the 'price finder, selecting Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, it says :

I couldn't find any mention of it elseswhere, only when going through selecting the price finder and choosing the weight, tracking option and value.

    Thanks!

    Next Day Special Delivery -

If you’re looking to get your order guaranteed for delivery the next day, we operate Royal Mail Special Delivery, a service that guarantees your order will be with you by 1pm the following day. All you need to do is ensure that you place your order by 12 noon on a weekday (excluding Friday). This service is also available for anyone wishing to receive delivery of an order on a Saturday, however there is a further £3 surcharge that will be added at check out. Again, orders must be received by 12 noon on the Friday. Please note that orders placed over the weekend or public holidays will not be processed until the following working day, which can add one more day to delivery times. Next day delivery is a UK-based service only.

looks like it must relate to SG

Yes I think you're right, re-reading the text does suggest it refers to Saturday deliveries.

Not sure where the OP said the weight?

    101g to 500g is £6.95.
