How long does it take a buyer to decide and put in an offer?

We went to see our new house, came out the door, walked down the street and back up it. We then managed to catch the EA before he drove off and offered the full asking price.
We are not normally so impulsive, however it ticked every box and for the street the asking price was at least 40k lower than similar sold houses.
It probably helped that we had seen dozens of properties that were just not right and so it was easy sport the perfect one.
Not everyone is so decisive so though. Others are right, if you are spending perhaps 200,000k then alot of people will take time to think it over.
Good luck with your house though!0 -
Many thanks for all the replies. My gut feeling is that on this occasion no news is not good news.
Still, we aren't in a hurry to sell; gives us more time to pay off credit cards. And we aren't looking at anything until we have an offer so no disappointment to contend with eitherDebt £26k 18/10/140
