She can still escalate it and then ebay will find in her favour.
As it is at the moment it is no danger to you, it will also be fine if it gets timed out and not escalated.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think INR gets opened automatically if they try to send a message with the subject "not received"
How long ago was the case opened?0

I had one opened yesterday, with no prior contact. I think it's the new ebay thing when they try to contact you. Although this one knew what they were doing because they put yes, I have asked the PO whether they tried to deliver lol. I just refunded and they left positive feedback. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Yes I have noticed this if you try to contact a seller and click on the reason for contact is item not received it takes you automatically to open a case now.
I don't see the need for this so if I need to ask a seller about delivery I now click on the 'other' option so I can speak to them before hand. It is very unfair to open a case without giving the seller the chance to answer beforehand, I don't understand why ebay have changed this.0

I don't understand why ebay have changed this.
Simple; now the system is intelligent enough to stop people asking where the item is prior to the expected delivery date wasting the sellers time. It also stops people claiming item not received under the radar.
There's a rare bit of praise for eBay from me.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0

 .
Oh that makes scene. Maybe I am doing the wrong thing bypassing the system to speak to the seller first, I shall stop doing that (although I do always check that the delivery date stated has passed before doing so)0

Still use "other" for chit chat with the seller, but us sellers sometimes get "NOT RECVD IT!" sent to us in text speak on a Sunday morning out with our family, when it was ordered on Friday night after we closed for the weekend.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise.
