Hastings insurance absolute nightmare

I take it you are referring to Hastings when you say: "luckily haven't had to contact them for any reason." I did have to contact them in relation to a fraudulent claim against me: it was a NIGHTMARE. See my previous posts.
Eventually I had to contact the FOS and I won. Save yourself the trouble.
I am just going to my local brokers to arrange my car insurance. They often promise to try to beat the quote you have received already.
I am going to my local brokers because I want someone with a local reputation to lose if they don't help me if and when I need such help.
When a claim was made against me, I, innocently, thought Hastings would help but due to their (i.e. including their nominated solicitors') incompetence I lost at County Court, even though my barrister could have proven the other bloke was lying - in fact, in his final submission to the court he showed he had been lying.
I know many people are on tight budgets but don't just go for the lowest quote, think "Will I get help from my insurance company?".0
