Turkey Flight

Had a delay of about five hours on a Thomas Cook flight a few years ago . Phoned customer services at Thomas Cook who admitted i was due compensation and offered a figure which was agreed . However this would take 28 days to process and would be in travel vouchers .Said i did not want vouchers and was entitled to cash .Thomas Cook said their system was to send out vouchers which i could then return with a covering letter saying i wanted cash . They would then send me a cheque . Seems a very drawn out procedure . Does anyone else heard of this ?
