Back in August I received a parking ticket from them - I had overstayed in a car park by about 10 mins. It was free parking for 2 hours.
I was going to pay it until I checked out this website and saw all the advice that says IGNORE, IGNORE. I have recieved all the usual letters. The last one was Recommendation to Litigate and my fine had been reduced to £45, this was back in January.
Well today out of the blue I got a phone call from the CCS the Collection Company, I was surprised as he called me at work and I haven't got a clue how he would have got my number, he said that the call was being recorded. I said that I was at work and couldn't talk. He then said that he would send me a letter, once I had received it I was to give them a call.
Basically now I'm asking what should I do?
When I get the letter should I call them up, but then what would I say as I don't feel as though I should pay it as they haven't lost out on payment as it was free parking, the only crime I can see is that I stayed longer.
Thanks for your help.

Don't worry about any Debt Collector. If they ring you at work again I would tell your employer they are harassing you for a debt you do not owe them.
You could tell them firmly while on the phone, over them if needs be, that you deny this so called debt and they must refer it back to their client and any more calls from them will be considered as harassment. Then put the phone down. I doubt they will call again.Got a ticket from ParkingEye? Seek advice by clicking here: Private Parking forum on MoneySavingExpert.:j0 -

Ignore their letters completely - and do as advised above if they phone you. DO NOT tell them who was driving nor confirm ANYTHING, and do NOT phone them.
Repeat - DO NOT phone them!
And course you are not going to pay!!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
