So I'm moving house next month, and I've only been with o2 since December but I'd rather just merge to Sky when we move as we have TV with them already.
I payed a one off connection charge of something stupid like £60 as we had no active phone line in this current house. I'm now moving to another house with no active phone line - Sky don't charge for setting it up but o2 want to charge us AGAIN!
I've spoke to sky, and they say its nothing to do with them and the merge wont happen for another 18 months or so, o2 don't really seem interested when I spoke to them but seem to think Sky are taking over end of this month or next?!
Just wondered if anyone had any experience of moving during this merge, or if trying to arrange for o2 to move us to sky early would be a silly question etc
Tempted just to pay the charge and leave o2 as the charge for setting up another line is ridiculous, we had to wait 6 weeks for an engineer last time aswell!

You won't get moved over to Sky early. You're welcome to leave O2 and take up service with Sky, but you'll be liable for early termination fees from O2.
Why can't you just take your O2 broadband with you? You'll be moved with everyone else when scheduled.0 -
The takeover isn't even going to the regulator for approval until next month. No free lunch, and no free laptop
