Quidco & The Phone Spot - anyone else had problems?

Wife and I bought two phones from The Phone Spot (CPW subsidiary) recently in two entirely separate transactions and neither of them is showing up in Quidco.

Quidco says they can take up to 4 days to show up, but my guess (based on other experiences with CPW companies) is that they won't.

Has anyone else had any Quidco experiences with The Phone Spot (or for that matter e2save OSPS and CPW) please?

Thanks for any help - I'd like to have an idea of what I'm dealing with before I start on them.

It's interesting to note Quidco's own tracking stats on this company

    95% tracked.
5% enquiries of which 0% successful so far.

Actually, looking across all mobile retailers it would seem that they all have a small percentage of enquiries (0-5%), many of which are unsuccessful.

However, TPS seem to have the honour of being the worst performing mobile retailer as far as both tracking and enquiry success is concerned (albeit by a cat's whisker). Could this have something to do with the fact that they pay among the highest level of commission of all third-party retailers?

Thanks - do you happen to recall how long it took to show up?

Those of us who bought the Virgin sim card through The Phone Spot and saw our transactions 'tracked' have now been declined so don't spend the money until you actually get it!
I've put in an enquiry as it clearly stated that £50 would be paid at the time of purchase (it now says £7.50 for the sim card) and I'm determined to at least get the lower amount.

Quidco now have them as members of their SureShop group.

That means they are guaranteed to resolve enquiries within a 30 day window.

I bought a "free phone, free line rental(cheque back), free minutes" deal through the Phone spot and quidco 18th April. It tracked ok but has now been declined. I put in an equiry but I'm not holding my breath.

Purchased 25 Mar 2007, validated last week... so about 6 weeks i guess.

Are you sure that they really mean "resolve" or simply "respond"? TPS's record to date with earnings enquiries (5% enquiries of which 0% successful so far) seems to imply that TPS simply refuses all enquiries.

Well we have no reason to disbelieve quidco - they say "resolve".

Sureshop is a new quidco feature, and the figures you quote may be before they signed up to it.

I hope you're right. I've got two lots of £50 riding on this, and whilst it isn't exactly going to cause me any financial problems if I lose it, I'm not going to let CPW and their motley crew of subsidiary companies get away with avoiding paying it if I can possibly help it.

Like you, I have no reason to disbelieve Quidco, but previous experience of CPW and Co has left me distrusting pretty well everything they say or do. I'll happily start proceedings against them again if I have to, but the biggest hurdle here is lack of evidence.
