A tip, don't make tea/ coffee and don't take minutes.
If you do, this sends out a very subtle but powerful message to others.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -
If you contract says that the company can get you to do any other reasonable task they see fit it can include making tea when ever they chose to get you to make it.
However if they have said its cause you are female they may not be able to do that legally
I don't actually have a current contract, not that I've signed or am aware of. I have been asking for one for some time but nothing seems to be done about it.
In my current job description, it does state that I am to undertake any other reasonable tasks, as agreed, to ensure the efficient running of the company.Weight Loss3lb Lost32lb To Go:xmassmile 8 Week Christmas Cracker SW Challenge :xmassmile3lb/12lb0 -
I would say tea making is not your job no matter what your rank, and it is unfair and unreasonable and as your the only female I would say it is sexist.
Also if the director does write it in your contract don't you have to agree to it and if you don't would he sack you?
Unfortunately, I think he would.Weight Loss3lb Lost32lb To Go:xmassmile 8 Week Christmas Cracker SW Challenge :xmassmile3lb/12lb0 -
It's a shame the OP had let it get to this, everybody is different, if it were me to make the tea for the office I would be asking them how much plegm would they like in theirs? Whilst I may not carry it out, I would certainly leave them with a doubt in their mind enough for them to know they best make their own.0

Love it - I actually made a cup of tea for an old boss of mine once and did spit in it! But then I rinsed out the cup and made another cup for him. I just couldn't go through with it.
I hate this crap about juniors making tea - I think nowadays everyone ought to make their own unless it's for a meeting with clients or something.0 -
I think it might be a case for imaginitive making of really bad tea. Contaminate it with coffee? Wave the teabag vaguely in the direction of the not hot enough water? But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Why not start making mistakes and rotten cups of tea, Give the wrong cup to different people. 3 spoons of sugar instead of one.
Spill some on the floor or on a desk. There are several ways to skin a cat, but don't tell my 3 legged one.0 -
You could always do what one of my friends used to do.Make the tea then wring the dirty works dishcloth into it!0

Bit of laxative might do the trick - just nip to the loos first and leave empty loo rolls!!0
