Well managed to spend an afternoon in the garden before the rain showers arrived.

Tidied up my new strawberry bed and put the last of the potatoes in.

Pulled up enough root vegetables and leeks to make a nice broth:)

Just had my Matalan text to say my order is ready to collect.

Did anyone else manage to get any of the glitchy wine this morning or was it just me:o:)

You won't hear the last of it from Dotty if it was just you that got it. ;) I speak from experience on that one. :rotfl:

Thanks for the new thread TM. :T

I've heard theories that the more people search for a flight, the more likely the price is to increase, so your hourly/ daily checks on the price could move the price upwards. Also that they use cookies to monitor your interest and push the price up.

    Could be urban myth.

Nope, I looked at flights to Germany recently, and when I actually went to book - they'd gone up by £20 (return).

My boss told me that the websites recognise where you've done the quote from and if you do it more than once, it goes up.

So I did my quote for another flight from home and booked it at work.

How much are the flights either side of yours?!

you have porbably bumped the price of yours by booking early...should have held your nerve......I saved best part of £800 pounds by holding out for a better deal on my summer hols and that was during the peak summer school break!!;)

    I'm having a good day.

My imutual £30 has paid out:)

Think you did it the same time as me David:)

Is this the £30 from MoneyVista? Or a different one that I missed out on. Just mine was paid out on Jan 27th, seems strange that I would have done something ahead of you lot.

I am looking for something peak summer hols - between 11-28th Aug, DH's leave. So far we are thinking of cruising, Celebrity have a fab deal on if I can get the nerve to book with a US TA.

What sort of deals are there usually last minute in August?

I find it hard to wait till last minute as I am a planner.:o
