Well I was stopped dead in the middle of my ironing, bloomin thing caught fire.:eek::eek:
Good job I did not offer to iron DM's shirts. :rotfl:
Luckily OH was in the room and pulled the plug out sharpish. :A
Anyway once I was over the shock of it all, I thought no problem, I have a few glitched irons stashed away. But I could not carry on as nothing to replace the iron board cover with, so an early trip to Ts on the cards now.

Tiny by name, Tiny by nature.
Seriously, this lady was so unorganized, the coupons were all loose in her folder. She took ages. The SA was lovely, so patient and took loads of the coupons with a smile. I am a patient person but it was such a lovely day that I would have preferred to be taking a walk by the sunshine not waiting in a queue. Bet your folder is in alphabetical order!:)
Hope it wasn't Dodo on a bad day.
My folder was in date order. But haven't got on top of it again yet. No pizza or paroli ones yet. Dodo did send me the paroli but I have not got round to getting it to print more than one on a page. Something I should do instead of bilging on here. :rotfl:

This happened to me with a lamp from Homebase- it was a few years old but I waltzed into Homebase with it and got a refund. Nearly burnt my house down the blinking thing:Dnever stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -

Hello Truffle Hunter, good to see you posting. :T:T:T
You have had the pleasure of meeting Marbett, well that is something I have yet to do.Although she does know what I look like, recognised my trolley load in her As one day.
Hi Tiny Shoes,
Many thanks:T, its good to feel part of martins lovely family!!!
Thank you so much for passing me your 4p shoe find a few weeks ago, unfortunately they were alittle too small for me so I have found them a good new home with a family member.0 -
I'm no expert but Mac lipstick is pricey but the best I've used in years, I try to buy at Debenhams when they have Beauty Club points offers. Also got some when Argos were discounting gift cards. Another good tip here Mac offer make up application for £25 redeemable with purchase. Their lip pencils are good too."We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough

All my 3 kids were born abroad. I was working abroad but back here now.
The interesting thing is: my kids are also British nationals thanks to me (ie Brit dad; but my wife is foreign, far cleverer than I am and holding a senior job here).
But thanks to my kids being born abroad, if in due course THEIR kids get born abroad, those grandkids of mine will have no British nationality.0 -

I was so lucky it set fire as I put it down, it didn't just smoke a bit, real flames. I had not noticed the cable had gone through where it connects to the iron. It is at least 5 years old as I took it away from mum when she was first diagnosed with her secondary cancer. Perhaps she is telling me I should use one of my own now.0
