Yeah we managed a decent roast out of it. I think it's a bit like a microwave in that once you know what you can do with it you'll be fine.

We made a smashing bread and butter pudding as well and it's fab for heating up pies from the butchers ;)

No fried eggs for breakfast though.

To be fair, the place was a converted gatehouse and had a massive bathroom, but they'd clearly sacrificed the kitchen space to get that. Enough space for a fridge, larder and sink and the cooker stood on the counter top. Luckily the cooker came with a recipe book but we did google a few more recipes.

This is the site we used http://www.melandmal.com/Recipes/Halogen_Oven_Cooking
Thanks will save that site and look through it

    Expensive brand alert??

(I'll have a look; other folks: also do likewise!)
Also being influenced by something because it's on advertising is, to me, a sure way of being led into overspending!! I recall it being in one of those 'super-scrimper' books or whatever they were called, from the early 90s: along the lines of "think, are you buying this because you saw it on last night's TV advertising??..." (may be an exact quote, judging by Savvy's memory:D:rotfl:.)
If we are to get the L'Oreal Paris, I and others will help you to do it very cheaply!
    Triggers? ? ?

I really don't think you can skimp when it comes to makeup. Look fantastic and feel unique are pretty good when it comes to getting branded stuff for less online :) it's still not gonna be dirt cheap but I'm sure someone with more experience could step in and help?

    Evening all.
I did a car boot sale today and we 'met' someone who lurks on this list who recognised my stash of S&G deos for sale and the fillers(flumps, white mice etc) I was giving away.
She is a friend of Martin and I just wanted to say hello again, it was lovely to meet you. Please be brave and post here!!

Beautiful weather we are having(said in a Yoda voice!!)

So it was not you that MKS spotted with a coupon folder. ;)

    I don't think m'dear wife wears any make-up.

She always looks fantastic and yes, there are thousands of jars all over the place upstairs. But I never see her put anything on, I think it's natural.

    Quite a blondie as well.

    Hi everyone, random question alert

I have never been into make-up much except my eyes. I am 31 and am going away soon so fancy a new lipstick for a change. I would want one which will stay on for approx. 6 hours as I hate re-applying ect. I like the wet lips look on Cheryl cole that is advertising the L'Oreal Paris GlamShine Stain Splash I think on the adverts.

Can anyone recommend anything similar to this or anywhere that this one is on offer please?

    Thank you xx

Don't think this is a lipstick Wooky, I think it's a lipgloss with a wand thingy.
If you have any points going spare it is £7.99 at Boots and also LOreal is on offer 3 for 2 at the moment.

thanks savvy, I was hoping someone would say they use something that is half the price and does the same job :D xx

That stuff is like paint, I find it quite difficult to get it off at the end of the day

I used to get it cheap from someone in work. She has an eBay shop but for the life of me can't remember what name she uses on there. Will see what I can find for you

Maybe someone will (or has). Totally off the point, but regarding eyes: I have this on my BM fillers items (vs T or A) - or just to buy without spending £20 - Dirty Works Eyeliner Brush 74p at S until 27/2/14 (NA everywhere else).

I will keep looking on the L'Oreal/equivalent items. Can't promise a quick answer from me though - not my area of great expert knowledge. Rootednomad? Anyone?

Our 8 YO daughter is pure blonde & I know where that comes from!
