At least i didnt say easter eggs!!! :rotfl:
Now there is an idea I think I still have some of those egg and spoon sets from last year hanging around.
I am thinking Sainsbury's might be the best place for nice cakes. I only ever normally buy whoopsied ones. I looked online at M & S but looks like I am too late to do online order and my local did not have much in, guess I need one of those that just does groceries.0 -
:T:T:T :money:
Wish the man in my life would whoopsie. I guess I can't have it both ways he is good at cooking and can make a meal out of the odd things I bring back. :rotfl:
I bet we'd all do pretty well on Ready, Steady, Cook

Can I ask has anyone on here done probate themselves. I will look on the forum when I get the forms through. But got a cheque today to the EXORs of ................... I did read somewhere I have to open a bank account for the estate. Was hoping could just transfer it all into my name as I am sole beneficiary. Not sure if the Building Society will accept the check now as accounts frozen and I already have final account figures from them.
Guess I should have asked our resident accountant.
I did probate myself 2 years ago.Used my own bank account. All went smoothly.Took about 3 months.Saved £800 which was what I was quoted by Barclays. The two beneficiary's were well pleased.0 -
Good morning everyone..... how are we all?
I've not even had a chance for a catch-up over the last about 36 hours, so don't think I have a hope now. Lets hope I haven't missed anything too exiting! Don't tell me, i'm sure I will have, as you guys are amaizing.:D:D
About to go outside to do my gardens, but is there any chance of leaving any of you who may know something about getting jobs to have a quick look at a thread I started...... even if you don't, your comments would be appreciated.

I know I was quoted £595 from solicitor and I still had to provide them with all the valuationsm. Using your own bank account were you able to transfer money from the deceased or pay in cheques made out the EXORS..... TIA0 -

All the cheques were made out to me because I was the joint executor and the other executor forgo his rights because of ill health.I also had to contact the land registry to change the deeds of a bungelow that was in joint names .0 -

thank you. I had read that one, along with another site which stated as Executor you had to open a bank account on behalf of the estate but it does not say anything there does it. Confused.com
