This talk about abuse, a friend of mine went to the police in the 80's and it was brushed under the carpet as it was by her mother too :mad:
She went back when more cases came up about 2003, the abuser was her father and 2 brothers, her father was 76 by this time he got put away for 20 years and her brothers about 10 years and got charged with rape x 5 times

It's awful Bubbs, I know a family member whose whole life was coloured by abuse in her childhood, even though it was less severe than what you have described it cast a shadow over her.

I also know of a family who lived nearby where the wife put her son into care as her husband was coming out of prison and he had been sent to prison for abusing the boy. As they obviously weren't allowed to live together she chose her husband.

That is what I see as odd, my friends haven't been through such experiences. Let's hope my friends reflect society better and it really just is some celebrities and a few others that can't behave, rather than a national trait and I am lucky to have friends unscathed.

I am afraid I believe it is the tip of the iceberg and only by confronting these crimes and making it easier for victims to come forward will we reduce it.

it is no coincidence that most of the abuse highlighted in the celebrity cases is abuse of young and vulnerable children, many of whom were in care. These children were seen as just things to use and abuse, who were punished if they spoke up. Some of whom would have been in care due to abuse in their home. If you google Islington children home abuse there is a lot of information that has just been brushed aside.

I don't know whether they will ever get to the bottom of the children's care home abuse, that some of the celebrities were involved in but it goes far higher and wider than them and it would seem some very important people want to find a few scape goats to stop any further investigations.

Not as unusual as you would expect sadly.

Never really used brandmatch before, but have some vouchers.
If I buy a litre bottle of vodka in Sainsburgs for £18 and spend another £2 to make it up to £20, I should get a brand match voucher for £3 shouldnt I as it is £15 in tescos. ?

    Yes

Assuming the £2 extra item doesn't reduce or increase the BM of course
