I get the impression from the name and this web link that it is but when i look at my actually meter i can only see one rate.
http://www.robertprice.co.uk/robblog/2004/05/reading_an_electricity_meter-shtml/
so is this an E7 meter or not?
If it is how do i see the second reading?

The LCD Rate display alternates between three figures. These are..- 1 – Day Reading
- 2 – Night Reading
- (no digit) – Combined Day / Night Reading

Then it's not one of those meters.
I suggest you post a photo of the actual meter you refer to.0 -
Sure, i'll post one tomorrow, but from memory I'm certain its the same as this one except mine says Scottish and southern electric not eastern.0

when that meter is used as an eco 7 it scrolls round showing the day/night and total. the rate in progress shows a blinking number or a curser to indicate which rate is on0

Then give the supplier a call with the meter reading you can see
This will:
a) confirm the meter reading is approximately correct as to what the supplier is expecting
b) confirm the supplier is only expecting one reading (so confirming you are not on an E7 tariff)
c) allow you to discuss the best possible tariff for you (otherwise the supplier will put on their standard/expensive tariff)0
