Hi - opinions please?
My SKY deal is now a whopping £75 a month.
I like the golf majors and the odd drama on Sky Atlantic.
Wife likes several dramas on Sky Atlantic/living/Alibi/Fox and the F1.
Kids like the music channels.
We have an HD STB.
We have unlimited Sky broadband.
Don't have Sky phone line rental, that would mean paying even more although we pay BT anyway.
Any ideas? Are we stuck with changing our watching habits to save money? Thanks in advance.

Call them and see what they can do?0 -
I'm the in the same boat.
Sky TV = £71.37
- Sky Entertainment Extra
- Movies Pack
- Sports Pack
- ESPN+ESPN America
- On Demand
- HD Pack
- Multiroom subscription
Broadband = £12.50
Sky Broadband Unlimited
Sky WiFi
I called yesterday and their only suggestion was (as football season is ending) to remove sports & ESPN and that would save £31 p/m.
Or to move my BT line rental and calls to Sky. Which would save me £33 p/m combined BT cost, and be about £15 p/m + call charges with Sky.
Essentially she had no deals on offer and as we were out of contract now suggested I go through to cancellations to see if there were anything they could do.
Good luck. If you get a deal let me know :beer:0 -
I called to cancel Sky TV recently, all they offered was half price fibre broadband for 3 months (i.e. £10pm).0

The only suggestion I have for albionrovers and nickine is to offer to move your line rental from BT to Sky and see what deals they have by doing so?
Otherwise, if you both want (and watch) so many of the subscription channels then I can't see you being offered any discount on them.0 -
I got offered haf price line rental - so i would suggesting moving your phone to sky as well as that way you might have more leeway for getting discounts from them.
Is the HD really necessary - and how much is it costing you - I recently got offered it for £2.50 a month.Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -

It's an essential part of the Big Night In experience ...

My HD is discounted by 50% already.
Viewing in 1080p can be unnecessary for some; it depends on the size of the screen, where it's located, where you're located in relation to the screen.
If you want to know if you would benefit from 1080p/Full HD0 -
Sky HD is only 720p0
-
nope its 1080i0
