Triton shower warranty repair.

Hi there. Looking for some information/advice about where I stand with a warranty repair that I need for a Triton mixer shower I bought and had fitted when I had a new bathroom installed in February last year.
The background: I bought the shower from B&Q on January 17th 2012. Bathroom installation was carried out a few weeks later and completed by the end of February. I registered the shower online and have the email confirmation of the registration. Triton showers come with a 5-year guarantee. according to their website.
I am currently working abroad and the new bathroom was part of a major home improvement project so that I could rent out my house while I am away. I have just been told by my tenants that the shower has started leaking water. My letting agency sent their maintenance person out to have a look and his judgement is that a new shower is needed (ie it is a fault with the shower rather than the plumbing/installation).
I lodged a warranty repair request on the Triton website earlier today and (to their credit) they responded very quickly and have scheduled a visit to the property to carry out a warranty repair (albeit not until May 3).
However, in the small print they sent me along with the appointment date, they say that the engineer needs to see the original receipt, otherwise, he will charge for the visit/repair. The receipt is not available. It is probably in a box in my storage unit but as I am not in the country there is no way realistically to retrieve it.
From googling this sort of issue (warranty repairs without a receipt) I see that (some? all?) Triton showers have a serial number/date stamp that can confirm the age and that they are therefore still within warranty.
I also understand that the original receipt is not necessary if you have (eg) a cheque stub or credit card bill with the payment on it. I paid by credit card and have access online to a copy of the relevant bill via online banking - but the payment was a payment to B&Q and obviously does not specify what was bought, only the date and total amount.
Has anyone had any experience of Triton warranty repairs and had any problems with them carrying out a repair based on serial number/date on the shower itself rather than seeing a receipt?
And, more generally, is the credit card bill noting the payment to B&Q on the day of purchase as noted on the warranty registration sufficient proof of purchase for warranty purposes?
Thanks is advance as always for any advice or information.
Liam.

Yes it is.
Without wanting to cause offence, the real mistake was getting a Triton shower in the 1st place, they are far from the best. To be honest.
I do think that small print would be proven to be illegal if pressed in court, it's certainly unreasonable in my viewI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
