Would like to get a dish fitted to my house but not any package yet since the house will be rented out. I'd just like to get a dish fitted so that tenant only has to subscribe and plug-in. Does anyone know the lowest cost way of achieveing this ? Thanks.

Let the tenant take advantage of any free installation offers if they want to, just specify that the dish has to be left when they leave.
Or pay a local aerial installer to put up a dish.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Cheapest way is to purchase a dish and install it yourself. Sky will install for "free", but you have to subscribe to their TV for a year so not really without cost.Owain_Moneysaver wrote: »pay a local aerial installer to put up a dish.
An installer will typically charge the most for an install, but it will be properly aligned and you can choose to put it in awkward places that Sky (or yourself) would not consider.0 -
I would advise not doing it yourself unless either a) you've done it before, or b) you don't value your own time very highly. The positioning is highly sensitive and if you don't have the right equipment it's going to be a right faff by anyone's standards.
I put a quote request on FreeIndex (it's free) and got the job done for £65 (I actually gave a £5 tip I was so happy).
That was for a brand new Sky dish and cabling (done properly with drip loop etc), but no Digibox.
Hope this helps.0 -
