DWP decision letter ?

Hello
I had an ATOS wca interveiw around 2 months ago.
I have heard nothing from them at all but today received a letter saying I am being moved from IB to ESA cont & the wragg.

Is this the result of the ATOS assessment or just standard procedure from IB to ESA ?

Yes you've passed the assessment. Just to point out that it will only last for one year and then you would only be able to get income based which takes into account household income and savings.

  • Thank you both for you help & advice.

It actually says at the top its for 365 days from the date on letter but further down then states that it is this is until November 29th 2013 so not a year ?
Also tells me that I may or may not be entitled to the new local council tax reduction scheme.
I was just surprised that I have not had the report from Atos ?

It will be a year but the week after that is the first week of December when you get the £10 Christmas bonus.

You have to request the information from your WCA, it isn't sent automatically. :(

Appeal and ask to be put into the support group.

Why should I do that ?

You do not need to do that - you just need to be aware that the claim will stop at this point if you have a partner who earns or another income source or savings over £6k - £16k. Income related ESA can only be paid if you have no other income or savings etc of less than £6k and on a sliding scale between £6k-£16k.
If you know that you would not qualify for the Support group then that is fine.

That link gives you a little test to see what you should get.
  • Oh I see thank you for this information i shall look into it.
