Morning everyone

Controversial! I found out last night that Quidco are offering cashback incentives for people to purchase from a company they have taken on board, a firm called Cocoon who sell fur products, including wolf, mink and fox.

I know some people still unfortunately buy real fur, but I also know a lot of people aren't comfortable with it. A lot of the fur they are selling is obviously not a by-product.

I've posted on their Facebook page to express my concern, if you are bothered by it I would urge you to do the same.

Disappointing as I have always used Quidco and hoped that they would have more morals and ethics than this. :(

I'm pleased that someone brought it to my attention, I hope that this is useful to other people who feel strongly about animal welfare too.

Thanks
Lucy

Most companies' morals begin and end at making money. ;)

Quidco are hardly supporting the fur industry by this. Nobody will use them that hadn't previously been considering the purchase.

So you wont be using Quidco again then? Or the cashback?

I do find it odd when a meat eater has such strong views about the wearing of fur. I assume they have no idea what happens in an abattoir?

Excellent service from Quidco, they apparently didn't realise the ins and outs of the retailer and had them down as 'clothing'. They removed Cocoon Fur as soon as it was pointed out to them.

    Fantastic response from them. :)

Maybe you could edit your title to reflect this ? :)

I've edited it but I think it would probably be better if this was deleted, as it has been dealt with by Quidco.

Is there any way to contact the mods about this? :)

Just press the 'report' button below and to the right of your post and explain why you feel the thread would be better deleted.

Why would you want to delete the thread?
As is stands, it shows that some companies do respond to consumer action, and leaving the thread posted may give an incentive to other people who are considering contacting companies about other business practices.
