Can a small business use this to take another small business through court?0

Absolutely Andy. In broad terms, the small claims court (or to give it it's correct name, small claims track) can be used by businesses or individuals. Please check out www.smallclaimsportal.com for more help and guidance on using it.1

Hi
Hoping I can get some advice on a problem I’m having related to my employer
I have worked as a Mobile Service Engineer with my current employer for seven years and during this time have provided tools to carry out my Job servicing and repairing of Airport ground support equipment
Just before Christmas I foiled a break in attempt of my van
I immediately contacted the work’s office and asked how much insurance cover we had for tools and had no response
I contacted work a week later and asked the same question again and got a vague response of £3000
Shortly after I was sent details of the policy and much to my alarm discovered tools aren’t insured between the hours of 9pm and 6am
I contacted work again and told them the insurance wasn’t suitable and also nowhere near enough in terms of value and asked for it to be amended and still haven’t had a reply
Fast forward to the night of January 12th and my van was broken into and £3500 worth of my tools and £1000 of company tools taken
We asked two years ago about tool insurance and was told not to worry (yes I have witnesses)
The company says they are trying to claim off their insurance as they didn’t know about the 9pm - 6am clause and waiting for broker to get back to them
I have also had comments from the director of “its very low on my priority list” “it will eat into my pension fund” and various other comments
Is the small claims court able to help with matters such as this

Good morning everyone.
We are an UK based company and have a few ongoing cases in EU small claims court. All the deadlines are off the table now and we should have heard from them by now. Unfortunately, we can never get through on the phone with them and we even tried going to Barnet Council - only to know we didn't qualify for an appointment. Could someone shed a light on how to get in touch or maybe how to complain about the lack of communication?
Thanks!0 -

Hi, I submitted my small claim using Money Claims Online~ it's a negligence claim, but forgot to add quite an important point on this initial claim. Can I add it to my statement to be presented to the court hearing or is it too late? Thanks!0

I paid over £10,000 to take someone to small claims, I won (2 years ago) and they now owe me, with interest £30,000 plus. How can I get the money without spending more, which we don't have? There is nothing to make they pay, so now I'm in debt. Small claims don't tell you this???0

Hi need to take my former employer to the small claims court, My dilemma is, I worked for a haulage company ( A ) for 8yrs, Then a Holdings company took over company ( A) in May 2019, Company ( A) was dissolved in May 2019 & company ( B ) was formed with exactly the same name more or less at the same time, I have now retired & my last pay slip ( February 2020 ) Confirms my employer as company ( B ) same name as my original employer company ( A )
What I need to know is who do I take to the small claims court ? Is it Company ( B ) that's showing on my pay slip as my employer & use their address, or name Company ( B ) c/o the Holdings companies address, or simply the Holdings company themselves ?
I don't want to waste money sending to the wrong name or address, Hope you can follow all the above,
Regards

If you are unsure, I would urge you to seek independant legal advice.
Citizens Advice can often put you in touch with legal advisers that can provide you with an initial interview for free or nominal charge (typically no more than £10).
Within that time, and if you go properly prepared, they should be able to advise you of your legal position and who, if anyone, you have a realistic claim against. There will be no obligation to continue with their legal services thereafter.
