Infact she doesnt even talk me to me unless she has to first ie. Telling me to do something. It annoys me that i always have to speak to her first! Do your bosses and colleagues do the same to you?[/QUOTE]
All of you saying yes the question was the above so your answer should have been 'no'. In that no, your boss doesn't do the same to you.Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0

We had two open plan offices and anyone entering any of them always said 'hello' or 'morning' to everyone and we all replied etcWe’ve had to remove your signature. Interesting story....
In my early career I was offered a post of "office manager" and accepted.
I was 20 and by about 10 years I was the youngest. My boss (a director) told me basically to run the ship as best as I can and ensure the sales and return targets were hit. I was left to it.
Every bloody morning I would walk in and say "Morning all", then "Are we all alright this morning?".
This went on for about 18 months.
I then had a "summons" to a HQ meeting and met my boss and the directors. For a few months we had struggled to hit some of our targets and was expecting a roasting. I got one. A very severe ticking off and told to buck up or find a new job.
Leaving HQ and getting held up, I ran into my boss on his way out, he said to me (will never forget).....
"Take it on the chin mate and turn it around. Oh by the way some of your staff have moaned at me that you always say hello and ask how they are. They say you are assuming a position of power over them by saying that, and you might want to tone it down"
Now it took me a long time to see where he was coming from.....
The message to the OP is that some people don't like that approach (not neccasarily "morning", but "how are we all").

A good manager will always say hello/goodbye - to everyone - not just to other corporate suits.0
