Thanks again for your input. Another spanner to throw into the works is that I'm currently away at uni and they'll send court papers to my home address. I've instructed my mother to forward anything to me ASAP, guess this is all I can do? How long do you usually have to acknowledge once papers are sent out from Northampton?

I think it's 14 days to acknowledge, then that's extended to 28 days for you to put your defence in...others will say if I have those deadlines wrong.

The claims we've seen from PE only relate to incidents post- Oct 2012, in other words since the introduction of POFA. (Unlike CEL, who are dredging up unpaid tickets going back as far as March 2011 and making claims).

This is a recent change of policy from PE, who are by far the largest player in the BPA AOS scheme, and until a few months ago never used to get involved in court action. They have some new high-profile shareholders and investors, and are clearly looking to set a new standard for "enforcement". Whether they are prepared to risk actually turning up for any court hearings, and having faces covered in egg, remains to be seen.

Had all the usual threats/offers from PE since October 2012. Totally ignored them after reading these forums. Had 8 pieces of toilet paper sent to me, then a court money box claim online. Am i worried not a jot.
I have filed to defend all of the claim. Do not ignore otherwise they will award a judgement against you. Will also update when i receive an answer from a*holes on counterclaim for harassment.

Hope you got a pepipoo defence? There's more to defending a Court claim than meets the eye unless you know what you are doing; you need to rebut every single point and throw in some of your own.

If you didn't get help you still can, if you act quickly. You can add to your defence as long as you share it with PE in time.

Not as such, because they haven't got to hearings yet. They may have won some already by default when victims ignore Court papers, someone posted as much on pepipoo today but I read the thread as a scare story by PE.
