Where did the PC/tablet/mobile phone come from ? Free 'phone line ? free broadband ? free rental/airtime as well ?

Please tell ME where I can get all this for free ................

I must have been wasting a fortune with PC World, O2, BT, Argos, etc, etc, etc..................

You dont actually pay to update either of those sites though once you have the means.

Otherwise if you want to go down that route, lets add the cost of a car, petrol, shoes, clothes etc for getting a card from the shop........
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

£2 for a card, i get the 99p/£1.49 ones from the shops, they will only get recycled/binned after a few weeks.

Also, look ahead for a few months and buy half a dozen cards at a time. No point making a trip to the shops every time there's a birthday or anniversary.

The OP mentioned nothing about money, just time. Perhaps if the OP's children are so addicted to the Internet they could stay sat on their backsides and send a card from Moonpig or similar?
There really is no excuse here.

It's not an excuse its just comparing completely different things. For instance my son is too busy to raise money for charity but he has time to update Facebook.

There is no real relevance between the two statements.

You brought cost into it earlier how much is your sons internet access compared to a few cards?

Cost was brought in to highlight the fact the two things are completely different. Although I paid £4 for a card at Clintons the other day and my broadband is only £7:50 a month and that's paid by work

So 4 cards/year is £16 and broadband is £90. Is the OP's broadband paid by their work? Apples and oranges has been mentioned but you are comparing lobster and s h i t e and largely talking the latter.Who brought charity working into it? Why?Get real, would you accept your son saying I'm too busy to do my homework/bathe/change my clothes/flush the toilet/wipe my ? No you'd guide them and make sure they sent a card to their grandparents

Well they are all 30 plus, there are five of them, scattered over the globe. I usually remind them but this year I didn't so their 92 year old grandma (and great grandma) Didn't get a card from any of them or their kids!
Three of them came up with the too busy excuse and they are on those sites several times a day!
    Needed a vent!!
