UKCPS Ticket - Out Of Bay

Hi,
I've a look at some of the threads and the general advice seems to be to ignore the ticket, but...
I was parked outside the line, due to the bay next to me having a Halfords gazebo set up - therefore no-one else could park in that bay. Due to illness I only got round to emailing the "appeals" department today - 2 days too late. I got an automated reply to say it must be through the post!
Should I just ignore anyway or pay up?
Many Thanks

"But" nothing. What on earth makes you think your circumstances differ from that general advice?I've a look at some of the threads and the general advice seems to be to ignore the ticket, but...
Good grief! You say you have read some threads, but are still considering paying!?!?! You need to read some more. Do tell me if any of them suggest paying these scammers.Should I just ignore anyway or pay up?
Don't waste the cost of a stamp. Ignore from now on, especially if you're outside the deadlines (though without more info, we can't tell if that's proper BPA deadlines, or made-up PPC deadlines).0 -

I think I'd wait for them to send a Notice to Keeper then come back here and consider whether to appeal at that stage.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I found the whole scene very confusing.
The advice I was given last week at a similar stage was the 7 day rule is made up by UKCPS and that I had done as they requested by emailing my appeal so shouldn't therefore also write. Mine was just in the 7 days but that shouldn't matter if it's a made up rule.0 -
I wouldn't advise either of you differently. You've made your appeals and they supply an email address so you've both acted in good faith. So wait for the Notice to Keeper (as long as you both own your vehicles, not a company or hire car or lease vehicle where the NTK would go to some office numpty who might think it was a real PCN).
The reason for 'wait and see' advice is because if they miss the deadline for the NTK it gives you more grounds for appeal. So you should both go quiet now IMHO and update your threads with dates & details of the NTK in due course. Let the scammers dig their own holes, and read up on POPLA.
UKCPS do look at this forum so beware of offers of 'help' or posts or pm's asking for details.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks all for the advice - going to sit it out

The words "robbing barstewards" spring to mind.
Thanks again

Hi All
Yesterday I received the letter (NTK) demanding the £100 and having to pay in x days.
Do I just ignore this now or write to them?
Thanks

This is your time to challenge it. Compare the original Notice, and this Notice to Keeper to this:
http://www.parkingcowboys.co.uk/keeper-liability/
The NTK is probably flawed in its wording but you have to spell it out to POPLA. See penguin's example POPLA appeal here:

Draft your own - similar to that, full of breaches - and we can help perfect it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There doesn't seem to be a mention of POPLA on the letter - so should this be the basis of my complaint?
My head gets in a right dizz reading all the legal stuff.
Thanks for help0
