I have fibre broadband from John Lewis, set up a few months ago.

In the past week I have twice lost connectivity, getting a message from BT about their wholesale not supplying, telling me to disconnect and try again later. It has been off for over an hour at a time. The first time I noticed this was last Sunday afternoon and the second time was last night at around 8pm

Can anyone tell me what the problem is and is it likely to continue? If so, I would have been better off with the cheaper (non fibre) deal I was getting direct from Plusnet

Many thanks

OK, so apparently losing connection once a day does not count as a fault and it's the old "turn it off and turn it on again" answer. No-one told me when I was signing up that I could lose connectivity like this - maybe slower but more reliable would have been a better proposition!

Since John Lewis broadband is simply a Plusnet brand, the issue would have arisen anyway. It's BT OR who provide the actual FTTC service regardless.
