Major amounts of posi-vibes to the entire Molly household - sounds like you could all use them. Having been on the receiving end of domestic violence, I can to some extent imagine how your poor son feels; though I can't imagine how it must be to be a bloke on the receiving end.:( I do agree with those who have said he should report the wretched woman (and I use the term loosely) to the police.

Mr LW decided to wear a tie to work today for some unknown reason (dress code is "smart casual" so usually wears chinos and a shirt but no tie).
Anyways, he dug out a tie he's not worn since I've lived here (I didn't even know he had it!!) and it had an awful stain on it - so it's been sat in his wardrobe like that for over a decade!:eek::eek: Naturally I said he couldn't go out like that - he got another tie, this time a clean one, and of course I was left with the mucky one to get clean.:( And gods only know the nature of the stain!:eek::eek:
It said "dry clean only" in the label, but it's polyester, so I've chanced hand-washing it in cold water with some of a free sample of the stuff in a pink packet.;) It appears to have got the stain out :T and the tie is now on the line drying, so hopefully it'll all be ok.:o Fingers crossed!:D

Monnogran you're never too old for a bit of Hestering.;););):rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

  • Just popping in - Happy St George's Day - and hugs to all especially Molly - that is dreadful. I second BitsyBeans and hope he has reported it to the Police. They won't be able to do a lot but at least they will be aware should she claim anything. He should also tell his landlord as well so that if there is any come back on the Lease etc although I'd advise going in, grabbing his stuff and going - obviously when she is out and preferably with some "heavy" looking mates with him. It might also be worth contacting the CAB locally who might be able to put him in touch with any local groups to help him deal with this.

As for me well I'm still really flat. I think losing Bobby has hit me extra hard due to all the other stuff I'm dealing with AND I used to talk to him about it all (riveting conversation :rotfl:) and when I was having panic attacks he'd always be available for a cuddle. Derek (the remaining) is not a people budgie and I can see his confidence has been dreadfully knocked as he's only just started to come out of his house and onto my had and even then runs off quickly. Chances of ever getting a cuddle from Derek? Nil. Plus no work today at all. Not even anyone on line for me to ask. Still I have attempted my late Mum's plate minced beef pie and we'll see how that turns out. I would put a Bakewell in the oven as well but we've still got cake left from last week uneaten. However on a plus note my Radio Times "8 issues for £1" first copy arrived today so that was nice..... and my student loan has been deferred what with my earning nowt..... Ah well. Nil desperandum, it could always be worse.... couldn't it??? Enjoy the rest of the day and YAY to a second series of Broadchurch.....
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Afternoon All

We have arrived home, the WM has been on non-stop, did two loads last night ready to hand out today, and the last load is spinning as I type, so everything including caravan bedding and towels are clean, it has been drying fantastically, as we have sun but it is blowing too.

Molly. ((Hugs)) for you and your family. I agree it should be reported for his own sake for the future. Such a person could easily claim she was the victim.

Well I am totally jaded today, maybe all the walking, especially in the sand yesterday, occupying ourselves for 5 hours, plus I had a panic when I got home, one of the tablets I take at night, I had out to the back of the cupboard in the bathroom of the caravan instead of in my bag, oh I though np, will just use one from those I have got for my stock for my trip. Could I find them, no sign, I have searched high and low, and this tablet is a muscle relaxant, one HS uses but only a 10mg dose, but I sleep more solidly with it, plus then I was worrying about where they were too. Carried in with the search this morning, every cupboard and drawer checked, in the end rang Asda to see if I had left them on the counter, no. Carried on searching cars, caravan, nowhere. Half an hour later, I got a call from Asda, they had just collected my prescription from my Drs with my 3 months stock. :o:o:o I had only ordered them not collected them. Must have been imagining things.

I have 4 sausages & some bacon and eggs, and mushrooms that want using up, so looks like a brunch for tea tonight. That will leave me with potatoes (mashing type and new)' a couple of carrots, 4 parsnips, celery, and mushrooms, together with some apples and a couple of clementines and 4 lemons to find a use for before Saturday, OK for cake, and will pop a loaf on for,the morning. May be able to think clearer tomorrow. De died not to go to town, as needed to get the washing all done.

Spin now finished, so better go and get the bedding out.

Take care everyone, ((hugs))' spoons, etc., as needed. DG

    Afternoon all
Lovely & sunny here today, the kids were calm at lunchbreak, so not too bad a day today.
Sausage, mash, peas & onion gravy for tea, enough sausages left for sarnies for hubby's packup tomorrow.
I was on facebook yesterday, SIL is spending about £500 a week on carp, they can afford it, but wow, what a waste.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Just want to thank you all for the support and PMs x
The more I read - the more I see men suffering domestic violence. Thank you for sharing difficult stuff - it really helps me feel less alone.
He has gone back to pick his stuff up ad I am to collect him from work tomorrow to bring his stuff home. I am sat with my phone and he has credit. I have told him to dial 999 if she starts.

She has started the emotional !!!! on him. I have explained it all to him as i have had experience of working with women who suffer DV as a midwife. He does see it but I think he still loves her. I have told him that he has his whole life ahead, he could go to uni and travel. he has been handing over all his money each week too.

I am so sad that he is hurting and also my youngest son too. I wish I could make it better like when they were little. It never gets easier being a mum x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
