I didn't plan on going to PCW, where would be a good shop to buy one from if any? lol Or better to buy them online? Yes 15inch would be fine I'm sure.
Thanks again0 -

Seriously, don't waste your cash. Argos Outlet have a range of functional latops from as little as £200. Notably Toshiba C850.C855. If you have the need for a more powerful processor, they have i3 machines from £270.
Unless you are into gaming and/or 3D design, most people don't even need an i3. I'm still on my old dual core Celeron.0 -
HP have a £100 cash back offer on various Windows 8 laptops until the end of April. The HP 650 is an intel i3 with 4GB memory and costs £269 (after the cashback).
This should leave you enough money to buy Microsoft office 2013 Home & student. Alternatively look at the deals for Microsoft Office 365 for home, which is a subscription service costing approx. £79 each year (5 licenses of office 2013 included)

Alternatively, install Libre Office, which is completely free, and leaves the £100 cash back available for beer in the student union bar :beer:0 -

I would just get an i3 from the Outlet and not bother with the palaver of having to claim my £100 back.
The HP is a bit ugly. Perfect for the office.
