I have checked with the comparison sites, and I cannot find any deal which is better than iSave 15, but I could be looking in the wrong places.

Has anyone else found something better?

    Spark energy.

  • I took a pace back from them, bearing the health warning about bad reports, but thanks for looking.

Why would people expect a rise so soon after joining? Sorry, just don't get your logic here....

If it's significantly cheaper than everybody else's offers then, yes, one's first suspicion should be that they have not yet applied a rise.

    According to their website,
    http://www.first-utility.com/contact-us
their phone number is a geographic phone number ;)
I`m on a landline contract so always use say no to 0870.com,
I`ve got through on these for free (01 02 and 03 are free 0345 uses minutes)
    01794 510194
    0800 0115168
    0800 0115010
  • You`re not tied in at all so why not vote with your feet.
If you go for their capped tariff you`re locked in and E.D.F. is cheaper and you`re free to escape.
Does anyone have the tariff details on Spark energy?
The feedback does scare me off, I don`t think we have had any decent reviews.
At least F.U. have given a good deal for 5 months.

    I need to stick with First Utility unfortunately as I need their smart meter, can't find another company that offers that ;_;

    Tariff Name - iSave v12
Electricity unit rate per KWh 10.107p
Gas unit rate per KWh 3.395p
Electricity standing charge - Supply 17.850p per day
Gas standing charge - Supply 19.740p per day
Assuming that's including VAT those are good rates for average users. Even cheaper than the fix I got about a year ago.
  • The only problem is that this deal will finish in June, and we are scratching around to find a replacement one. As some people have said "it was good whilst we had it"!
  • It really is about time OFGEM looked at this sort of practice.
OFGEM are well aware of what is going on . but they have no teeth. complete waste of time .

The thing is, this company gave me cheap energy throughout this horrid winter. I am grateful for that!

Like all good things, don't expect them to last. What's the point of getting so upset?
