Bank of Scotland Vantage

I have just learned that Bank of Scotland Vantage accounts will later this year (October I believe) be subject to the same requirement as Halifax Reward, to have two DDs set up for each account held.

Maybe this has been posted already, but I couldn't find it.

Hope it won't be the same for Lloyds TSB's Vantage...

Sounds like my Tesco savings accounts will be getting another 3 accounts added to them come October then :D

I don't mind if Lloyds TSB follow suit, I've had to set them up for the 4% deal anyway.

However, at this rate, I'll need a dedicated spreadsheet just for my direct debits!

It already is for those, at least in order to get the 4% until 31/10/13.

Yes I've started adding the DDs for the various accounts requiring them to my SS too! Looking a bit cluttered now.

What about standing orders, are two required as well?
You may question anything I say. Just be polite, otherwise you go straight on to my Ignore List, which funds a good old fashioned knees-up every Xmas. Cheers;)

Don't know, but I wouldn't have thought so. I was just told DDs.

is it/still the case that you must have 2 dd's on the account ? Couldn't find any mention of that on the T&Cs.
    Opened one account today.
Are 3 accounts still OK ? Transfer £1k between these accounts 1 x p/mth and you get the 3% on £5k.

Have I got that right ?

No DDs required for LTSB Vantage or BoS Vantage. You can open 3 accounts with both for 30K in total.

Later this year you may require them.

Having already been a Halifax customer for some time using their internet banking, I have just opened a BoS Classic account which surprising shows up when I log into Halifax Online Banking. Is there a way to upgrade to Bos Vantage from Halifax Onine Banking? I am still awaiting my online banking details from BoS, but I am wondering if I am supposed to just use my existing Halifax Online banking instead. Can anyone else that has Halifax and BoS accounts verify how to upgrade to Vantage via Halifax?

If you already have OLB via Halifax, no need for BOS OLB details as you can do everything via Halifax.

For upgrading from BoS Classic to BoS Classic with Vantage just give them a ring, it'll be done in like 10 seconds. You can open a second Classic with Vantage account whilst your on the phone too :)
