The Peugeot 207 was one of our best-selling models ever, but the 207 3-door and 207 5-door hatchbacks have now rolled off our production line for the last time, and were replaced in summer 2012 with the latest addition to our range - the Peugeot 208 - see below for more details.

Since 1979 I have bought a new VW every 3 years. The last 12 years the same model (Polo). I've had various diesel and petrol engines.
Sods law said that when I bought a diesel, diesel fuel price went up and when I reverted to petrol, prices were the same.
Current model a 2011 is diesel and I get an average of 60mpg and £20 VED. Previous petrol versions around 35 mpg (avg).
One major advantage is range. With the current diesel model, I can get around 600 miles a tankful. On previous petrol - approx 370 (same tank size).
Next one? Another diesel - my spreadsheet still says that the diesel model is cheaper to run (overall) than the petrol one - just.Clive0 -
I must admit, I'd prefer a VW than a Peugeot any day of the week, although I've never been a fan of French cars so that might explain why.0

Great post! I doubt many can compare 12 years of the same model.0 -

Recently decided to change and in deference to the zombies around here who come down the centre of the road with their spectacles hard pressed against the windscreen, upsized from the Golf (Petrol 1.4 TSI)to a blue motion tech Tiguan. Pleased to say that although the Golf could do 48mpg, the Tig can do 52 for the same motoring so I am paying the same but have the benefit of armour plating. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0

Getting long in the tooth, old hat now - an old model basically that is showing its age.0
