Why do some people always seem to have some sort of mood going on.
I live close to some people who dont know me well and I dont know them well. They just seem to always be in some sort of mood. I say hello, they blank me. I mean last time I offered them the courtesy they looked at me for a long moment with a foul expression then turned their backs and started whining loudly about how awful and rude I am. They're constantly trying to wind me up or inconvenience me in some way.
To my knowledge I have never offended them and I certainly dont go out of my way to annoy them, I keep myself to myself.
So why is it some people thrive on making other peoples lives difficult or playing 'the victim card's constantly? Especially when they've not been provoked and dont really know the other person.
They perplex me.

Why give these twits a moments thought hun? If they don't want to be on friendly terms then just blank them. They don't sound like people you would want to know anyway!0

Why bother trying to be friendly?
I will say hallo once and if people don't acknowledge me as long as I'm sure they heard me, I wont bother again, also I wont any longer speak to people that will not look at me.
My partner will keep saying hallo until he gets a response, I cant be bothered.Treat other's how you like to be treated.

would you really want to be friendly with such grumpy people? Count your blessings and leave them to stew in their own bile and find some lovely people who make your life happier.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

What?? they called YOU rude? thats a laugh they sound right miseries.
I would ignore them completely.0 -
Sorry half my post got deleted somehow!!
I do ignore them now I dont even look at them. I did wonder if they had marital issues they're projecting on everyone else. They never seem happy with each other or their kids.
What I meant to say was; once they left their car lights on and I went over and knocked on their door to let them know. They came to thr door and looked through the peephole, bear in mind the door is part frosted glass. Looked through the peephole and went back inside.
The cost of there rudeness. A flat car battery lol.
I was just trying to be a good person, I know I'd like to know if my lights were left on unintentionally. I do ignore them now, I dont even look at them. I just really wondered why people are like this? Is it jealously or what? Materially thry have more than US, much mote.0 -
Ah don't worry. Some people are just special. Don't waste air on them until they prove worth you doing otherwise0

There wasa woman on my street like that, every time I said hello, she would sigh as if I'd asked her run up a mountain.
Just ignore them x0 -
Im really bad for walking about with my head in the clouds. I can quite easily walk past folk I know without even noticing. Im especially bad when driving. I quite often get a telling off for ignoring someone. I wouldn't do it purposely though. Even if I don't know someone and they'd acknowledged me, id say hi.
But my one pet hate is holding the door open for someone and getting a dirty look for it.0 -
I have a few of these type in work. We refer to them as Dementers. All those familiar with Harry Potter will know where we're going with that...
The sort who complain that the cake the team bought them on their birthday was coffee and they'd prefer chocolate. But they never contribute to anyone else's cake. Or if someone is ill (I work in a hospital, we're surrounded by the ill!) well, they are more ill than anyone. They suck the life and motivation out of a room by their mere presence.
Best ignored, but it's hard. Also pretty sure it's a recognised mental health condition!0 -
If you know what condition it might be it would be useful for me to read up on it so I can handle them in the future if it kicks off.
Dementors is an awesome name I think I'll be adopting that0
