assessment decision maker questions

the fact is support group is not fully understood by many decision makers, even though the criteria explains it fully, its doesnt explain indevidual case's of the claimants ailments for the DM to put them in that placement this is one of many reasons people are placed in wrag when they meet support group, where as work related activity group has many descriptors and is easier to place a claimant in, but still WRAG doesnt caiter for mild anxiety or panick attacks, everyone has a form of anxiety at some point in a day, to getting lost in an unknown couty whilst looking for an address, to being under pressure at work to hand in that assingment that can seal a million pound deal for 10 years, everyone has it at some point. someone who is fit and healthy and sociable outgoing will suddenly have a panick attack about nothing.
the DWP does not recognise anxiety nor panick attacks as a criterion to WRAG you may score 6 points on it coupled with depression, but not enough to be placed into any group.0 -
Yes i score about 15-20 points. Tried everything just nothing available of what i want to do at the moment
the anxiety and panick attacks maybe drawn from this aswell as depression.
youve tried getting jobs you qualify and enjoy doing, unsuccessfully, especially as you trained hard to qualify, and now its been many months.
your anxiety draws from losing your little income you have, having your rent and council tax paid for or mortgage supplement, and now realising that your about to pass (as fail a wca seems illogical to me) and these will be withdrawn has got you on edge.
unfortunately in these times of limited job posts, finding a job in your field of qualification is very remote, allot of people that are trained engineers etc are working in local restraunts, to earn some cash while waiting for the oppertunity.0 -

its an open forum so people will critisize, i offer you constructive advice, nothing more nothing less, i put what i put as depression and anxiety can stem from anything.
i too am a depression sufferer, have adult ADHD (am on the spectrum waiting to be assessed), i suffer great anxiety just to leave the house on my own.
one thing ive learned is to go back to when the depression started, and see where your mind has latched onto the negatives in order to go forward sometimes.0 -
The support group is not extremely difficult, you meet the criteria you get it. I was awarded the support group based just on the questionnaire. I get the impression from on this site people simply do not spend time and go into detail. The more detail the better!
Agree with this, I was recently placed into the support group without a medical, I filled in the form in great detail, every question that applied to me, the more detail the better. However I did send in a lot of medical evidence and supporting letters as well.
OP I'd recommend getting help filling in the forms if you need it from CAB or similar, you may be missing information out of the forms or something and not realising. I'd also suggest seeing your doctor for a referral for anxiety management if you can.I SUPPORT CAT RESCUE! Visit Cat Chat to support cat rescue too.

I kept telling you, you won't getting it anyway. Go and claim JSA and stop bemoaned!
You can't have ESA WRAG or support group for depressed. Go to work to ease your depressed!
Thousands of people claim ESA (both WRAG and Support Group) for depression.
Can I ask why your ability to type varies so much between posts?0 -

Then the decision maker is a biggest mistake! Those who are depressed should go to work really. Because staying at home all day will make it 20x worse depressed!
I had depressed as well but still go to work!0 -

Bully for you! It obviously hasn't given you the insight to realise that many other people are so deep in the trough of depression that they cannot get out without help and cannot function meanwhile.0 -
if its one thing i hate its bullies.... flight747 is one! i have reported you to admin0

i too have reported flight on the basis that there is prevailant bullying in this thread, this forum does not tollerate well to those who cannot see an ailment from behind their keybourd warrior machine screen.
i post in my experience, wich is 2 years battling DWP 2 won tribunals.
and those who say its easy to get into SG, search through this forum and other forums designed to advise those who are battling the dwp, and youll be proved wrong. you just got lucky that you were given what your rightl deserved and never had to go through the verry stressfull process, i proved my ailments through many external reports done via med proffessionals, all of wich contradicted the WRAG decision that the DM made.0
