Car Parking Fine UKCPS

Hi

I have received a car parking fine from UKCPS for parking in a disabled bay (I forgot to display my blue badge).
I have posted an appeal against this. (Interesting that an appeal phone number does not exist). I have since noticed the car park attendant has ticked the wrong box on the penalty notice.
He has ticked "Without a valid permit or authority" instead of "In a disabled bay with no badge displayed"
How do I stand with this?

First of all it's not a fine. It's an invoice suggesting that you might owe them some money. (You don't).
Secondly, Blue badges have no legality in a private car park.
Others will be along shortly to confirm my reply, I think.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

The blue badge scheme does not apply on private land, check your handbook for confirmation. What does apply is the Equality Act 2010, if they don't cancel this fake ticket you should be given the the chance to go to popla providing it is England or Wales

You stand the same as everyone else we see in this very common situation with this scam industry. When the car park notices insist on a Blue Badge, the notices are actually potentially breaching the Equality Act 2010 because the BB scheme is Council only, and you had a legal right to park there. See these threads:

UKCPS will send you a standard rejection, then (having read those threads and taken note!) you will send a Letter Before Action to the Landowner or Managing Agent and UKPCS as well (all parties). And a POPLA appeal can be put in as well, once UKCPS give you the code with a rejection letter (you'll be lucky...), and that costs them money to see their fake PCN cancelled.

UKCPS will then scurry back under their stone.

    :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
