Car Parking fine UKCPS

Hi

I have received a car parking fine from UKCPS for parking in a disabled bay (I forgot to display my blue badge).
I have posted an appeal against this. (Interesting that an appeal phone number does not exist). I have since noticed the car park attendant has ticked the wrong box on the penalty notice.
He has ticked "Without a valid permit or authority" instead of "In a disabled bay with no badge displayed"
How do I stand with this?

I guess Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking subboard of Motoring board is a more appropriate place for this question than Credit Cards board.

It's a scam. UKCPS will reject your appeal regardless of what evidence you provide, all they're interested in is getting their flithy mitts on your cash. For starters the Blue Badge scheme doesn't apply to private car parks and if UKCPS are involved then this is clearly concerning a private car park.

As grumbler said visit the parking fines board and you'll get all the advice you'll need there. It's possible you'll be able to counter claim for a breach of the Equalities Act but at the very least you'll be told exactly why you shouldn't hand over so much as a single penny to these rogue traders.

p.s. It is not a fine, private companies cannot by law impose fines. It's an invoice designed in such a way as to mislead you into believing it has some sort of legal standing to con you into paying it!
