my brother is coming to stay with mum for 4 months from hong kong. Mum is with BT for her phone calls. He has asked me to check out if he can get broadband for 4 or 6 months only. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated, many thanks:o

Lots do monthly contracts, I think you should look at some of them.

Couldn't see anything on the Be website offering free install. All their packages quoted £24 connection fee. Their is no minimum contract, but they do require 3 months notice. How long is the Be contract?
For our Be unlimited and Be pro products, there is no contractual period, we simply ask for 3 months notice in writing to cancel your contract without incurring any additional cancellation charges.
For monthly contracts, you're probably going to have to pay a connection fee, as otherwise the ISP could in effect lose out if you cancel after 1 month when they've paid the installation fee.Dave. :wave:0 -

The offer is on the moving banner at the top. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
You wont get any free install, only free migration.
Even if they say its free you end up paying for it in the long run. exit fee ect.
