PPI Consumer Questionnaire

Hi all,

First time poster but been lurking for a while. Recently I was contacted by Nationwide regarding PPI on a number of loans I have with them. I decided to fill in their forms and now they are looking into this for me.

It got me thinking about other accounts which led me to here! Nationwide are now looking into my credit card account which i've had for 10 years as well.

I have also found out i'm paying it on my Tesco & Halifax cards. I have read lots on the info on here and am currently filling in the questionnaire to send to them. And this is where I need the help of you smart people on here!

Basically i'm unsure what to put in section D.6 (if i hadn't been able to work...etc) I don't have savings or other insurance so in reality I might not have been able to make these payments (though i know my parents would of helped me out). Will this jeopardise my claim if I put no?

Thanks for your help in advance :)

They are looking at whether it was suitable or not. From what you say, you do appear to have a financial need. So, in effect, you are asking as whether you should lie or not. The answer is you should be truthful. Also, remember that they are allowed to ask for evidence.

  • Thanks for the reply. I have ticked no, will keep fingers crossed. My main reasons for complaining of a miss sell are:

-I wasn't made aware of the increase in cost of PPI as balance went up.

-I wasn't asked if I already had other insurance cover

-My job has always paid full sick pay so did not need this

-Wasn't made aware it was optional.

I'm more confident in my Nationwide claims than the Tesco and Halifax but I guess I have just got to play the waiting game for a couple of months.

Has anyone else had experience with Nationwide when they've initiated proceedings?
