hillstep what an awful situation, I hope the meeting in July will resolve things for you and your dad x

Nice day today, busy at work this morning but no meeting at lunch time so I was home for 12.30 :j. I've prepared a toad in the hole for tea as I had some LO sausages. Also made some coffee and walnut buns which are delish , so now I'm trying not to keep eating them lol

Got a big pile of ironing to do , which I'll do while dd2 is having her saxophone lesson tonight.

Hope the tele is good tonight

LW glad you had a nice weekend;)
I do lots of ebaying and it can be really hard work, not for the faint hearted. Some people are wonderful and others a pain in the @rse like life really:D I will carry on though, it's much needed pennies towards our debt.
Just about to change into something comfy, and read my WW mag, I need inspiration from somewhere.
    Have a good evening x

  • Hilly........... £11,000  the home is extracting the wee, get in touch with social services and tell the home that they will not get another penny. These places are money making factories and do not warrant the prices that people are being charged, they even take the old people's pensions from them. In my opinion the whole kit and caboodle are beyond contempt.

Had a phone call this morning to make yet another appointment at the doctor, to "discuss" my blood test results "nothing to be worried about" Yeah right, the last time they said that I was diagnosed with diabetes :( So I have an appointment for Friday morning.

Then I had a letter from the retinopathy screening service to ring them, which I did and told them that I had already been seen at the hospital three weeks ago, but they said that unless they had a report from the consultant, I have to go and have it done again animated-smileys-astonished-19.gif

halight, I hope that you get an op date soon x

Update: Social Services have been on. They will write to the home's head office to say that Dad is in limbo and they will have to wait for their money. She also said that they can't take us to court because we have the Social financial department on our side.
So I can sleep okay tonight. :)

Wasn't going to post today but am absolutely incensed by what Hilstep is going through. Glad you have Social Services on your side though, that should take the pressure off for a bit. It really does seem that if people have been thrifty and put money aside instead of spending it, they are penalised. Don't get me started!

Good on ya' LW. Obviously a well-celebrated birthday
I'll be spending mine travelling back from holiday, a 16 hour journey door to door. Not much chance of a bit of hestering unless I join the Mile High club. Come to think of it I've no-one to hester with. Do I hear the sound of distant violins?
