Advice please, Landlord wants us out

    Im a landlord and this sort of behaviour is unacceptable. Please don't be pushed into moving

    DEFINATELY check the deposit in a scheme and sue him if not. Its not difficult to do and someone on here will talk you through it Im sure.

    You need to start thinking and acting methodically.

    The chances of him breaking in, throwing your stuff out onto the street, and changing the locks whilst you are out on the school run are somewhat small.

    This is not correct. The notice can be served on any day of the tenancy period, but it must expire at the end of the rental period two months' hence.

    Note also that 'served' does not mean 'sent'. Rules of court provide for deemed service two (?) working days after first class posting. Or service would be effected by personal delivery (need witness to this, ideally).
