Money owed by Slimline Clinic/Rapid Inch Loss

I was hoping that someone might be able to give me some advice please. I have booked and paid for treatments at the Slimline Clinic in Milton Keynes. I have had some of the treatments, but am still owed £170 for the last twelve.
I thought something suspect was going on after searching online and seeing a lot of complaints about the treatment not working (it wasn't great to be honest) and emailed the company to request a refund as it was being mis-sold and wasn't being carried out properly.
I had no response from them at all, I was just told to be patient and my case would be looked into.
On further searching into the company and the directors, it seems they constantly change their trading name, and registered addresses - two in Coventry. The directors, however, are the same.
I visited their website and on the home page it stated that refund requests would be dealt with within seven days - mine had been two months.
Then an advert in a local paper appeared, with a different company name but the same layout/addresses as the Slimline Clinic. I looked at the website again and there was a message to say they had cease trading and the director was working their way through refunds. I have heard nothing and now the website is offline.
Rapid Inch Loss is the same director, registered address and format as the Slimline Clinic but now I'm at a loss as to what to do.
I paid on my debit card mid December for the treatments (they are booked for 15th May), so unsure if I can claim via the Barclays Chargeback Scheme.
Have I lost my money? Or is there a way of getting it back? I want to be able to report the company to warn others about them but don't know who too.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

I was considering paying for this treatment they have opened a clinic in Enfield north London, any thing changed in your refund? What did you think didn't work well?0

Non receipt chargeback.
Should not be a issue, given the last treatment date was 15/05.
You would only be able to claim back for the treatmants not taken.
£170 for 12 treatments, seems very cheap.....Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
No news of a refund I'm afraid (or anything else!) Maybe at a different clinic it might be better, if the therapists were a little more consistent.
In hindisght, all the things they tell you to do ie. eat less carbs, drink more water, exercise more, should make you lose weight anyway.
Good luck with it if you decide to go for it!:)0 -
Yes the same thing has happened to me. My wife died suddenly just before starting treatment and since 2nd April I have been trying to get back the £379 owed to me because she had paid up front. Obviously this is a bit stressful in the circumstances. I was going to go to the Small Claims Court but as Rapid Inch Loss seem to have disappeared without trace there seems little point. My current plan is to go to the local press next time I see the Slimline Clinic advert - bad publicity might hit them in the pocket!! I hope. !!I was hoping that someone might be able to give me some advice please. I have booked and paid for treatments at the Slimline Clinic in Milton Keynes. I saw an advert in the local paper in Cambridge and bought 27 sessions for £479.
I had 9 sessions when I received a text from the therapist saying that the Rapid Inch Loss clinic would be closed for the next two weeks. At no point did I receive any communication from the company.
After two weeks the Rapid Inch Loss did not reopen the clinic and the therapist said that she was not paid. I went to the website and wrote a letter to the address posted for a refund and I have still not received a reply. They don't answer the phone either!
Since then I have contacted my credit card company but RIL is so clever. They never sent me the confirmation of my purchase which the credit card company needs to that they can process my refund. I have managed to find a copy of the advert in the newspaper archives which I hope the credit card company will accept as evidence of the number of sessions I bought.
There is currently a face book page with a lot of people telling the same story of being scammed by RIL.
I know that RIL was being handed over to a relative of the couple who owned the company (according to the therapist) so no doubt they will reopen under another trading name and do this over again to lots of people.0 -
If you paid by credit card, consider a Section 75 claim.
Your credit card company are jointly responsible.

Thanks. Tesco Credit Card says that I need to provide them with a copy of the contract from Rapid Inch Loss so that they can process a refund. Great as they never gave any documents.
I've e-mailed trading standards.0
