It looks like they trade under a couple of aliases who are members..

Trying to make sense of what you've said here. I think your first post needs editing as it say 'PCS' issued the fake PCN - which they didn't.

It looks as though your fake PCN was from PESS, who are AOS members.

Parking Collection Services did not issue the fake PCN; they are a debt collector and part of Debt Recovery Plus. We already know that because it's been discussed loads of times and we've seen all their letters hundreds of times over on this forum. DRP, PCS and Zenith are all the same well-known debt collection aliases of the same company - but are not the same firm as issued your fake PCN.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

A Reply From Parking Collection Services...

    16th May 2013

    Dear Miss *****

Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding the above Parking Charge Notice (PCN).

Upon receipt of your letter, I liased with our client and after discussing the matter directly with SHOP NAME they have instructed that this PCN will stand.

If you have an issue regarding incorrect advice you claim to have been given by a member of staff at site, this is a matter to raise with site management.

I understand that this is not the desired outcome; however, unless further evidence is provided, the decision oj this matter is final. While any further correspondence contesting the decision will be noted and filed, I cannot assure you of a response unless fresh evidence is provided that would have a bearing on the decision.

I will place the account of £110.00 on hold for 14 days to allow time for payment to be made; however, if no payment is received within this period, the matter will be taken off hold and the recovery process will proceed.

    Yours sincerely

    Nigel Goulden
    Collections Manager

So, what are the options here?

Ignore until the court papers come through the door?

I could pop into the shop and inquire as to whether they (PSC) actually contacted them and if anybody spoke to them.

Coupon-mad, you're right the "PCN" was issued by PESS, my apologies.

They are the debt collectors its pointless writing to them, I should have made myself clearer on that, dca's just lie they haven't spoken to this shop, why would they ? Anyway you can either ignore them as they are toothless scammers, or write to the parking company with a threat of a claim for harassment

Seconded. PCS are just another name used by Debt Recovery Plus and Zenith = nobodies.

If it were me I would DEFINITELY do that. Take the PCS letter with you and ask if PCS are lying. COMPLAIN about their agent's continued harassment!

  • Just updating this post to say that nothing has happened since my last post in May.

We spoke to the shop manager and she said that no one from PESS or Parking Collection Services had contacted them direct, although it was possible that they may have been in contact with their head office but they (the shop) hadn't heard anything.

So, six months down the line and no correspondence from PCS, I'm assuming they've given up.

And thanks to this and other forums for, if nothing else, encouragement to stand up against these scammers. :)

Come back here if you hear anything else from them. Also if you receive any other tickets from others in the future as things have changed since last you were here.

And thanks for the update :)
