Iphone photos on pc- naming

Hi,
I've just been transfering photos onto my pc. The recent ones are named IMG then a string of numbers.
Now looking in my folder at the photos I've previously copied on there, the naming is different with date and time being the file name.
I prefer this way of naming but don't know what I did to get it like that.
I have checked the photo properties and the same phone was used.

How can I get the filenames to be like before rather than IMG and a number?
I connected the phone via usb and then went into teh folder in windows explorer and copied across. Is there another way ( other than photostream)?
