OH is looking to change his mobile, have been using a comparison site to check out deals, there are some excellent ones, but they are pretty much all cashback deals, are these safe? OH is very sceptical.

  • Stick to big companies that are part of the cpw group like e2save, osps and if you send in the right bills at the right time, you won't have much of a problem with the cashbacks. Maybe only a little bit of nagging.

Got 4 cashback contracts with them, and I haven't had any serious issues with them.

make sure you do your homework with each company offering the deal and remember if the company ceases trading in 4 months time they will not be in a position to pay you anything. Their terms are such that you need to relly read all of the claim information and do everything right, as just one mistake means that there will be no more cashback.

If you know the risks and can afford to loose the money if things dont go as planned then go ahead.

I have used Phones2udirect and it worked out for me.
I agree with the above comments if you want to be sure they pay up.
    • Place your order mid-month to avoid confusion on which month's bills are needed.
    • When you place your order make sure you print out the current t&cs and then read the cashback terms very closely. Get someone else to check your understanding.
    • Draw up a schedule and write down the dates you will need to send in paperwork. (the actual date may not be clear untill your new bill)
    • Put all these dates on a chart you will see every day
    • Prepare envelopes for each mailing with a note on each one of what & when.
    • Follow the instructions to the letter

It is worth it - but you need to keep your wits about you!
    Good luck.

I am with Dialaphone and have just taken out my 4th set of contracts with them.

I change contracts every 12 months and get the latest phones. They are very good at cashbacks. On Wednesday I sent off my last redemption claim for two contracts on one T Bobile bill. The following morning (yesterday) I received both e mail notification and text messages on both lines telling me that the claim had been processed. They must have snatched it out of the postman's hand, ripped it open and actioned it!

I really cannot recommend them highly enough. A lot of people here have commented that the deals are not always the most competitive, but the fact that they always pay up and deal with any minor issues that arise, gets my vote.

They are doing deals with PS3s Flat screen TVs etc instead of and as well as cashback, so if you are thinking of buying one of these free gifts it may be worth your while going for that instead, then you may not have to remember to send off for the cashback.

    I use this site https://www.dialaphone.co.uk/youatwork

This give you an extra £45 PER ORDER! So, if you want 2 or more phones, place as many orders as you like but keep it to one phone per order. This means of you want more than one phone you'll get £45 per phone.

When you go through the ordering process, you are asked "How did you hear about Dialaphone?" or a similar question along these lines.

If you choose "from a friend" from the drop down menu then you get the chance to put in a mobile phone number of an existing Dialaphone customer. That customer gets £20 for each order you place. I would very much like to be that customer :D. Well it costs you nothing to do it - unless you have a friend who is an existing Dialaphone customer of course ;)

If you need more info or would like to help me earn the £20 at no expense to you please PM me and I'll give you the necessary details. I won't PM you as I don't want to spam you.

I have done 100% cashbacks for the last 5 years and todate have always received my payments. I now figure if I slip up one year I've more than saved that money over the last 5 years.

    I have used:

chatterbox.com - no good deals anymore
Themobileshop.com - no good deals anymore
Themobileoutlet - fair deals there but they have become slow at paying up so I won't use again.

Due to get 3 new phones beginning of June. Looking to go to E2save or CPW. 100% cashback deals now seem very hard to get with decent companies.

Go through R points and you save even more money.

I am with a company called Phonebox direct and have just had my first payout from them - took a while (about 5 weeks) but i got it.

Advice is to be on the ball, get loads of envelopes already addressed up when you take out the contract & mark on the calender when you need to send the bill in.

Also send all claims in using the Post Office Signed For service.

This way you get a tracking number and can get onto the retailer if the cashback does not appear to have been processed but has been received.

This happened once with Dialaphone. They confirmed that they had received it but hadn't processed it for some reason. As they couldn't argue that it had been received they processed it without delay.
