How to check an agency website

Ok so if you apply for a job say on Totaljobs and you get the email back saying your application has been sent to [EMAIL="joebloggs@xxxxxx.com"]joebloggs@xxxxxx.com[/EMAIL]

How if xxxxxx.com is not a website belonging to the agency do you check them out and find out more about them like where they are etc?

If they're using a domain that is not the agency's then I would be wondering why for a starter.

Ässuming that xxxxxx.com is a legitimate company domain and not a mail provider then do a WhoIs on the domain.

You can then tell how long the domain has been registered and also who it is registered to.

this shawtalent.com is not even an agency as already did a whois

Can't find an office address or anything

All looks a bit dodgy to me .

The domain was registered in January and the registrant is an IT Company, who don't appear to be web designers.

I did find a twitter feed for ShawTalent https://twitter.com/ShawTalent, that appears to be related to the recruitment for a carpet company.
