 If it is only made of butter how do they make it spreadable?

    I don't know, it's not spreadable, it's softer.

My view exactly, if something is added to make it spreadable then its not butter, real butter only spreads if it at the right temperature,

  • They combine oil with the butter in sufficient measure to make it instantly soft and usable although I find in Winter it helps to leave it out a while before using depending on the tempreture of your home.

But then it isn't a hundred percent butter. I wonder if they whip air into it? Would that work?

The "unique" way it's churned apparently.

The information on the Kerrygold site states -

'There’s no fancy science involved, in fact, we can’t even take much of the credit. It’s down to Mother Nature and the abundant green grass that our Kerrygold cows graze on. Thanks to our lush Irish fields, the cream we use has softer milk fat, which in turn makes our butter softer. We simply heat the cream a little and cool it before churning to enhance this softness.

The result is the same deliciously creamy and smooth Kerrygold block butter, only a little bit softer.'

As I stated in my first post it's real butter.
