Donating to Charities using PAYG Credit

I have 2 PAYG mobile phones that each have £5 credit on that I want to donate to a charity.The charity in question says the text will donate £5 to their charity and use £5 + text charge from your credit.What happens if like me you only have £5 credit on phone,does it still work and only give them £5 less the text charge or will if fail altogether.

We had a few sim cards with £5 credits last year which we tried it with for children in need or someting and they didn't work ....it seems you have to have £5 plus the cost of the text on the account for it to work

Managed to donate to 'Cancer Research' by donating my unused credit and it didn't deduct the cost of the text so the full £5 or what ever you have left gets donated.You can also sign up to 'GiftAid' so its actually £6 that gets donated.For Cancer Research' text CRUK11£* to 70070 where * is the amount in pounds that you want to donate.
