Nexus 4 Contract

Hi

Looking for a bit of advice on what I should do

Currently I have an iPhone 4s unlocked (sim-free) which I have 30day sim-only deal for 3 which is 200mins 5000 texts AYCE Data for £12.90

I am looking to change to a Nexus 4 because I'm fed up with the iPhone after a couple of years

Now looking at this I can but the phone direct from Google for £279 and put the existing 3 SIM in it

Or

I can take a 24month deal out with three for a Free Nexus 4 300mins 5000 texts AYCE Data for £22 a month

I have worked out over the 24 months its £60.60 for the second option which doesn’t make sense that it may be cheaper to have a contract.

I can also get £35 cashback from Quidco for the contract which is paid would make the difference £95.60.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks

Looks OK, to me. The cashback is never guaranteed, but the new contract is better even without it.
I guess both contracts are with '3'. I so, and you want to keep your number, be prepared to port it to the new contract in two steps via another network.

Yeah I was surprised when it worked out cheaper. If i want to get rid of the iPhone I can get around 230 for it aswell

Is there a network that is best to port to and then back i.e no messing around, fee's or anything like that?

Thanks for your help once again gumbler
