Tesco Share Prices Going South

Looking at the historical share price it doesn't seem to have done much worth shouting about for the last two decades. The share price is about 27% up on what it was in May 1991. Annualised growth of about 1.1%.
Clearly the dividend is what matters more here.0 -

3rd July 1998. Tesco had a 2 for 1 scrip issue, which means that you have 3 times the number of shares that you had before that date“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -

for me, this is the crux of it - do we think Tesco management have the capability / capacity to turn things around and improve? if so, then i think there is a good future for the SP. its already a good dividend play, so if it can appreciate slowly then its a winner for me.
what do we think? was a time when tesco made very few mistakes, this seems to have changed, although i am glad they pulled out of the US.0 -

I think Tesco will rise again and will be keeping hold of my shares but I do think they need to sort out quality and price issues.
