Persuading Network provider to replace phone
Options
I know this is cheeky but:
I currently have 4 contracts with T Mobile. (I have just started 2 and am about to end 2 but that is another story;) )
My DD has lost her mobile on a train
Samsung d600 red
As each contract I have is worth some £35 equalling £140 per month (this is before redemptions etc) I wondered if there would be any mileage in presenting myself as a good customer to them with a view to pursuade them to replace it....or am I living in cloud cookoo land
They have offered to replace her sim card FOC

give her one of the phones from your 4 contracts?
but your latter assumption was right, they've offered all you'll get free as they have you over a barrel, you can't walk without paying them so they have no incentive to offer you anything sadly.0
