The lady on the phone said that I had to credit 1k within the first 3 months of opening but it HAS to be either my salary or another income.
"Other income" can have come into other bank accounts. Just transfer £1K (in one or several payments) with Faster Payments and you are done.0 -

Confirm this.
Keep an eye on the £125 too as they only gave me £100 initially, until I raised it with them and they put the shortfall in a few days later.
Once you get the £125, as long as you've got £1 in the esaver then no need for any more funding/transfers either0 -

Unless you want the leaving gift, in which case you need to keep funding the account.0 -
No, we have it as our joint account and we each transfer in just the bill money. Wages go into separate accounts. Never had a problem.0

Do you have to transfer 2 direct debits or standing orders using First Direct's easy switch service to qualify for the £125?
I was just going to set up 2 new ones or transfer existing ones myself.0 -
